Secret in the Mountain

(Drama) On the last days of WWII, the mountain village of Altaussee is in the grip of the Nazi regime. World-famous works of art are stored in the salt mine. When a fanatic orders the mine to be blown up before the artworks fall into the enemy’s hands, the miners resist.

Pitch Perfect: “Based on true events, the film recounts the deeds of the ‘silent heroes’ in the last days of World War II. A touching episode about the ‘Monuments Men’ of a small mountain village and their attempt to resist an inhumane regime.” —Armin Luttenberger, Head, Content Sales International, ORF-Enterprise
