(History/bio., 1×50 min.) When human remains were found in a routine dig in the English countryside, the archaeological team didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. It wasn’t until the remains from the Cambridgeshire Fens were washed and more closely examined that something highly unusual was revealed—a nail through the heel bone of one of the skeletons. Could this be evidence of a Roman crucifixion? If so, it would be a sensation. The only previous confirmed example is from a 1960s excavation in Jerusalem.
